Canned Grasshoppers

Freshly-preserved grasshoppers are exactly the same as live grasshoppers in terms of nutritional value and deliciousness. Grasshoppers are a great feeder option for hedgehogs. They contain a whopping relative protein of 20.8%. The canning process softens the grasshopper exoskeleton, making it easier for your pet to digest.

Cans have a shelf life of up to three years unopened and come with a plastic lid for resealing after the pop-top has been opened. Cans should be stored in the fridge and used within one week after opening.
